Beginner Guitar Player Advice

A common problem seen in beginner guitar players is becoming discouraged because the guitar is not so easy to learn at first. Beginner's often make the mistake of trying to learn songs that are well beyond their ability. This leads to frustration and for some, quitting the guitar all together.

Many beginner guitar players will get frustrated by the finger placement of chords or the transitioning between chords. Just remember, at times when your first learning how to play the guitar some things will just seem impossible. But, trust me, they are not.

Some good advice is: try not to get ahead of yourself when learning how to play the guitar. Remember, back when first started learning math, don't you think learning 2 + 2 is a lot easier to start with than (535 x 323)/32? My point here is, learning the basics builds a foundation on what you will be able to learn in the future, and you will be able to learn new things a whole lot faster. I setup the beginner guitar lessons to start off with simple guitar finger exercises.

Many beginners want to learn chords to start, but then they struggle with the finger placement. I urge all beginners to learn basic finger exercises first, doing so will acustom your fingers to the guitar. So, if you are just getting started, take your time and build on what you learn by following our beginner guitar lessons in the order they are presented.
