Lesson 10 Part 2 - Playing a slide back downThis is part two of the guitar slide technique. Playing a slide on the guitar does not always have to be played in upward direction, you can also perform the technique back down the guitar.

Part 2: In the part 1 we showed the slide with a '/' this time we have a '\' meaning that we are sliding down. Ultimately the slash direction does matter, you cannot slide up to 5 from 7 and vice versa, the next note really determines the slide direction. As before, we are going to use our third finger and slide down from fret 7 to fret 5 on our guitar. Play the slide: 1. Place your 3rd finger 7th fret of the 2nd string. 2. Pick the string, keep your third finger pressed down and slide it down to the 5th fret. This basically the same exact thing as the part 1 guitar slide technique except we are going the other direction. |
