Section 1 (guitar_slide_p3.wav): In the part 1 we showed the slide with a '/' means to slide up and a '\' means that we are sliding down. For the tablature shown above, we are simply going to slide up, then down on the same string. Play the slide: 1. Place your 3rd finger 5th fret of the 2nd string. 2. Pick the string, keep your third finger pressed down and slide it up to the 7th fret. 3. Pick the string again, keeping your third finger pressed down and slide it back to the 5th fret. 4. Repeat. |

Section 2 (Guitar Slide Part 2): For this little riff, we want to perform a guitar slide on the third string and then make a seamless transition to the second string. This means we will have to use different fingers for the two slides. The first slide we will want to use our 3rd finger, once it is complete immediately set your 2nd finger and perform the second slide. Play the slide: 1. Place your 3rd finger 4th fret of the 3rd string. 2. Pick the string and slide it up to the 6th fret. 3. Your 1st finger should naturally be in position to play the 5th fret of the 2nd string. 4. Press your 1st finger down on 5th fret of the 2nd string and slide up to the 7th fret. |
