We are going to start with a slide on string 3 and then move down and play the 6th fret on string 2 and finish with a bend!
How To: 1. Use your third finger to slide from 5 to 7. 2 Immediately after completing the slide, place your first finger on 6th fret of string 2 and play the note. 3. Perform the full note bend on fret 8 with your third finger. Once you have performed the slide your first finger should fall into place naturally. If it gives you trouble don't be afraid to break it up, for example play the slide and the 6th fret note after. Once you got that down try adding the eight fret bend. |

Part 2 (blesson11p2_rbend.wav): A release bend is real simple, is simply unbending the string and returning it to it's natural position. For the example above, we are going to bend the 8th fret up a step and then lower it back down. Play the Bend and Release: 1. Place your 3rd finger on the 8th fret of the 2nd string. 2. Bend the note up and gently lower it back down. |

Part 3: It might look a little tough at first but it's part 1 of this less and then it's played back down except we won't use a slide on the way back. How to: 1. Use your third finger to slide from 5 to 7. 2 Immediately after completing the slide, place your first finger on 6th fret of string 2 and play the note. 3. Perform the full note bend on fret 8 with your third finger and release the bend. 4. Play the 6th fret with your 1st finger. 5. Play the 7th fret of the third string with your 3rd finger. 6. Play the 5th fret with your 1st finger. |
