How to play Metallica One Intro
From the And Justice for All release, Metallica's One is easily one of their most popular songs and the song that took Metallica to whole new level in popularity.
The intro to one is pretty straight forward and is a great riff for the guitarist that is just starting to become an intermediate level player. Note, the verse of the song is very similar to the intro but it is not the same.

Watch One Intro Video
Watching the video will give you an idea of what fingers to use where, there are times where you may find it easier to incorporate using your pinkie finger to play fret 4 on the D string. However, if using your 3rd finger is more comfortable then that is okay too. The intro above is repeated several times during the opening guitar solo, the only difference is during the first time around the open G note is played a bit longer. |
